Description:
You will be the Configuration Management Engineer for the Product Configuration Management team. Our team safeguards product baselines, drives engineering change execution, and delivers accurate configuration data across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain partners.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Configuration Management Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing design modifications, coordinating change records, and ensuring every hardware and software item ships with the correct configuration and serialization. You'll act as the central hub that links engineering change boards, manufacturing, procurement, and quality to keep the program on schedule and compliant with configuration management policies.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Analyze proposed design changes and assess their impact on product and system baselines.
• Create, track, and authorize change orders; prepare comprehensive change authorization documentation for both company and subcontractor teams.
• Publish clear reports on change effects and update the central configuration database with all engineering revisions.
• Perform Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) and Status Accounting activities to verify that serialized hardware matches the latest engineering configuration throughout build and shipment.
• Generate and maintain serial/lot record sheets, ensuring accurate entry into the central database and preserving identification records for all serial controlled items.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to incorporate engineering changes promptly and document them per program schedules.
• Serve as the liaison for as built configurations and serialization, supporting Configuration Change Board (CCB) meetings, tracking open items, and driving change implementation closure.
• Design, develop, and automate productivity tools or databases that evolve with program and customer needs.
• Foster cross functional teamwork, communicate status updates, and proactively manage multiple concurrent tasks.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Active Secret Clearance with 5-year background investigation and be able to get Special Access Program clearance.
- Must have experience using Configuration Status Accounting tools.
-Experience writing processes and procedures.
- Must have Configuration Change Board (CCB) understanding including implementation activities.
- Experience in reading and releasing engineering drawings and documentation including bills of material.
- Proven ability in processing CDRLs in accordance with the Contract Statement of work, 1423s, and DD250s, and in accordance with the applicable Industry Standards.
- Experience with serialization of hardware and Item Unique Identification standards.
- Advance experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access): including designing, developing, automating, and maintaining Access and Excel databases.
-Familiarity with markings, formatting and handling of documentation.
-Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
-Bachelors or Master's Degree from an accredited university.
-Must have 3 years of professional experience Bachelor's Degree.
Desired Skills:
Develops solutions to assigned technical problems of limited scope which require ingenuity and innovation.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse technical and business personnel.
- Experience with CM of hardware/software.
- Knowledge of and experience in the Logistics and Sustainment Engineering efforts of a Missile program.
- Experience with Product Data Management tools.
