Description:
You will be the ElectroMechanical Engineer for the Microwave Systems Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing cutting edge microwave electronics subsystems that power next generation aerospace platforms. We blend RF/microwave, analog/digital, and mechanical thermal expertise, leveraging modern design tools, an on site state of the art electronics fab, and comprehensive ESS test capabilities.

What You Will Be Doing
As the ElectroMechanical Engineer you will be responsible for leading the end to end creation of complex microwave electronics packages-from concept through production. You will work side by side with a multidisciplinary group of industry leading engineers, solving challenging technical problems and driving the advancement of new aerospace products and technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop detailed electro mechanical designs for microwave subsystems, integrating RF, analog/digital, and thermal considerations.
• Perform 3 D modeling, layout, and simulation using modern CAD/EM tools (e.g., HFSS, CST, SolidWorks).
• Create and execute verification and validation test plans, including ESS measurements and environmental testing.
• Manufacture, assemble, and troubleshoot prototype builds; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with RF, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless interface and performance compliance.
• Generate technical documentation, design reviews, and production manuals for release to manufacturing.
• Contribute to technology road maps and propose innovative solutions to improve performance, cost, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
This position is in Andover, MA.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Five years' experience with all aspects of mechanical design and test, including layout and design documentation.

Proficiency with Pro Engineer CREO and Windchill or equivalent is required.

Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for generating analysis plans and reports, documentation and proposals are necessary.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with electronics packaging for microwave electronics.

Understanding of thermal and structural principles and analysis tools.

Hands on experience with building and testing electronic assemblies.

Knowledge of GD&T and ability to perform tolerance analysis.

Knowledge of materials and processes used in electronics.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
