Position Overview

Supports the United Nations Command (UNC), Combined Forces Command (CFC), and United States Forces Korea (USFK) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Cybersecurity Assessment Program (CAP) with effective knowledge management solutions through portals, tools, dashboard creation, knowledge training, and technical support, ensuring seamless collaboration and informed decision-making. Requirements include collaborative applications support residing on DoD networks (NIPR, SIPR, CENTRIX-K). Tasks include Client-Side Development, Knowledge Training, Web Development Services, Graphic Visualization Services, Customer Support, and Content Security Management.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain the SharePoint environment to ensure it remains relevant to business needs.
  • Responsibilities include customizing and updating the landing page to promote user engagement and
  • adoption, monitoring usage to assess its effectiveness, and keeping track of site conditions.
  • Perform an annual purge of outdated or inactive content, verify the proper functioning of workflows and tasks, research SharePoint's evolving capabilities, and collaborate with communities as required for site migration.
  • Perform SharePoint site collection administration, including managing permissions.
  • Create, leverage, and manage content types, site columns, lookups, and reusable templates.
  • Develop a scalable structure for top-level, directorate, and division sites.
  • Ensure uniform navigation and standardization across sites and domains.
  • Configure search scopes to support targeted information retrieval.
  • Design and implement project and document dashboards to provide actionable insights and track key performance indicators.
  • Compile monthly reports detailing site collection usage and progress.
  • Establish governance rules and set up alerts to monitor activity on critical information as required.
  • Provide support for the operation of the USFK KM collaborative information environment software and applications.
  • Provide timely and effective resolutions for technical issues encountered by end-users.
  • Maintains customer log and tracking system to ensure all tickets resolved in a timely manner.
  • Deliver comprehensive SharePoint support services, including frontend development, customized web applications, SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions, permissions management, storage administration, and accessibility compliance.
  • Provide content design, creation, and user support to end-users, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools and web application frameworks to automate key business processes.
  • Utilize out-of-the-box capabilities to create forms, workflows, dashboards, and taxonomies, as well as implementing search and other front-end mechanisms to streamline data entry, validation, visualization, storage, retrieval, and reporting, ultimately enhancing overall efficiency and user experience.
  • Configure and manage metadata, operate, and populate the SharePoint platform, facilitating effective content management to enable efficient searching, retrieval, and organization of data, ensuring that information is readily accessible and easily discoverable by users.
  • Deliver comprehensive SharePoint (SP) support to guarantee the seamless operation of the United Nations Command (UNC), Combined Forces Command (CFC), and United States Forces Korea (USFK) Microsoft Office environment across all three networks (NIPR, SIPR, and CENTRIXS-K).
  • Support a broad range of services, including administration, integration, migration, and troubleshooting of the portal, as well as all associated software applications and authorized services, to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security, and to resolve any issues that may arise, maintaining the integrity and functionality of the MS Office environment.


Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Education Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
  • Certifications: IAT Level II
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of front-end SharePoint administration.
  • Must be proficient in development of portal solutions using SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and experience using JavaScript, HTML and other
  • programming languages.).
  • Experience in developing KM Tools training instruction and delivering KM tools training to the end-users and site owners.
  • Provide IT support to the internal KM team.


Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Certifications/Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Knowledge Manager (KMI), Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft forms, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
  • Experience working with Military, Korean language proficiency preferred for communication with Korean staff.
