- 2+ years manufacturing leadership experience of 10 direct reports minimum in an AS9100 environment
- Possession of DoD Secret Clerance or the ability to obtain is required

FULL DESCRIPTION: This role is responsible for maintaining production schedules and material quality while supporting continuous improvement activities. The expectation is to achieve daily performance and safety goals during any given shift through proactive management. The candidate must effectively relate to both hourly and salaried personnel to promote a cooperative and interactive relationship with subordinates, motivating all personnel, proactively solving equipment and manufacturing problems, driving yield improvements, and implementing cost reduction efforts.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including conducting safety training and risk assessments, and resolving safety risks.
- Maintain compliance with FOD policies and quality standards, including conducting training and audits.
- Work closely with the Production Planner to ensure compliance with the production schedule and manage production changes.
- Perform monthly forecasting of sales and past dues, maintaining expected ship dates and recovery plans.
- Manage conflict with respect and professionalism.
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to ensure timely completion of products.
- Troubleshoot issues through effective communication and feedback to ensure prompt resolution of production-impacting conditions.
- Ensure departmental production KPIs are efficiently met and report performance metrics and improvement activities.
- Conduct department meetings to communicate goals and progress.
- Perform tool calibration checks and audits.
- Assess subordinate job performance; coach, counsel, and develop their skills, knowledge, and abilities; recommend personnel actions when appropriate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Improve manufacturing processes continuously.
- Send employee time-off records daily to payroll.
- Provide safe working conditions to prevent injuries and strive for zero lost-time accidents.
- Manage a single shift of employees.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in performing various manufacturing processes.
- Perform scheduling activities using Microsoft Excel.
- Conduct department training sessions.
- Identify and escalate problems to appropriate personnel.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and documentation.
- Manage inventory through cycle counting and material transactions.
- Assist in submitting maintenance, tool, and supply requests.
- Participate in and communicate effectively during production meetings.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Ability to Read, Speak, write in English to ensure instruction and training can be communicated to assigned workforce ensuring safety, Quality and Efficient completion of tasks
- Math skills sufficient for accomplishing all reports, charts and calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and teach others in technical manufacturing work instructions, safety, quality and company practices and policies
- PC Proficient in email, reading/writing reports and basic data entry, Word and Excel usage. Ability to be trained in usage of manufacturing applications
- Understanding of AS9100 requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing
