Overview

LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EO/IR 2026-24797):

Bowhead seeks a Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division (NSWC-Crane). The contractor shall provide specialized supply management, logistics, and data management functions support for JXQ.Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD).

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

  • Serve as the Operating Material and Supplies (OM&S) and General Equipment (GE) Coordinator for the Division.
  • Provide total product life cycle support to all Electro Optic Technology Division branches and projects for the disposal of excess government, military property, and already disassembled systems.
  • Provide coordination with internal and external stakeholders to gather and dispose of material, verification of items, research of demilitarization codes, organization and palletization of material, generation of DD1348's, etc., in accordance with applicable documents and processes
  • Responsible for transactions required through the Navy Enterprise Resource Program (Navy ERP), Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Shop Workload Management System (SWMS), and Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) to include shipping and receiving documentation, preparing and tracking Material Movement Documents (DD-1149's, DD-1348's to ensure material is properly tracked and dispositioned
  • Assist project representatives to ensure all material is dispositioned properly and all pertinent electronic systems are updated.
  • Attends and accompany Inventory/Inspection teams on all OM&S and GE walk-throughs in the Division.
  • Provide OM&S Metrics monthly to provide any upcoming OM&S/GE actions or inspections to the Division Metrics POC.
  • Responsible for keeping "RO" (Responsible Officer) lists updated and attend all Division Product Support meetings and will conduct the meeting once every three months for a month at a time.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Bachelors' Degree is preferred with five (5) to eight (8) plus years professional experience performing acquisition logistics for DoD. Experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Experience shall be relevant to the DoD acquisition process including program management, business management, and providing full product life cycle support guidance to the Program Office.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
