Position: Acquisition Policy Analyst - Senior
Clearance: Secret
Location: Onsite at the Pentagon 5 days per week

NIS has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Policy Analyst onsite at the Pentagon supporting Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ).

SAF/AQX - Acquisition Integration
NIS has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Policy Analyst onsite at the Pentagon supporting Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ).
The tasks for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviewing and evaluating the impact of national, DoD, JCS, and civil government acquisition policies that affect Air Force acquisition programs and capability areas.
- Analyzing and evaluating Air Force acquisition policies and processes for implementation by Air Force acquisition programs.
- Recommending and designing strategies to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of Air Force acquisition policy and processes.
- Supporting HAF policy and guidance development and review for acquisition equity.
- Providing programmatic guidance to Air Force acquisition programs on the implementation of acquisition policies.
- Providing programmatic guidance to Air Force acquisition programs on the implementation of financial audit readiness.
- Attending OSD and HAF forums ensuring Air Force acquisition interests are fully articulated within DoD.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree in business or related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant acquisition (programs of record) experience in a System Program Office and/or Air Force Headquarters
- Must be proficient in all computer-based communication/office IT tools, to include the following: Microsoft (MS) Office Suite - Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Excel, TEAMS; Adobe (both reader and Pro)
- Must have the ability to learn new software/office IT tools as needed in a timely manner.
- Must be proficient in public speaking: capable of delivering briefs, speaking in meetings in person and online, and giving presentations.
- 12 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
- BA/BS degree plus 8 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
- Ability to move or traverse throughout a large, secure facility and between multiple work areas
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists and fingers
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
