Job Description
Linux Administrator SME for support teams which includes Centralized SuperComputing Facility (CSCF) High Performance Computing and other contracts.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux-based HPC infrastructure supporting classified computing environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and associated system services.
- Manage patching, repository updates, and kernel modifications to maintain system functionality and security.
- Troubleshoot Linux kernel and system performance issues using diagnostic and debugging tools.
- Implement automation for system configuration, deployment, and patch management using tools such as Ansible.
- Support identity and access management services including LDAP and token-based authentication systems.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure availability and performance of HPC systems.
- Assist users and developers with system-level troubleshooting related to compute, storage, and networking issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an AIS degree required plus 10 years of experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience developing system software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
- Proficiency in Bourne/Bash and Expect scripting
- Proficiency in debugging issues with the Linux kernel including examining source code, system logs, and using tools such a crash and systemtap
- Experience with managing Satellite repositories to apply patches and build custom kernels as required to implement functionality or address security concerns
- Familiarity with automating approaches to configuring and maintaining (e.g. patching) systems using Ansible and Satellite Server
- Understanding and experience working with identity management systems including LDAP and token-based authentication systems
Pay Range
$105,000-$155,000
The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
