About The Role

Join Peraton's mission-critical team supporting secure, real-time data delivery across complex operational environments in direct support of our nation's warfighters. We are seeking highly cleared professionals who excel at the intersection of advanced communications infrastructure, distributed systems, and mission assurance-where reliability, security, and performance are paramount.

Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared Engagement Lead - Journeyman to support this mission at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

Responsibilities:

As an Engagement Lead - Journeyman, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
  • Possesses and applies expertise in engaging with tenant stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document strategic requirements for C2ISR Transport Infrastructure initiatives.
  • Independently conducts requirements gathering sessions with mid-level tenant personnel, translating high-level operational needs into clear, measurable, and actionable technical requirements for acquisition.
  • Leads the development of specific sections of performance work statements and other acquisition documents, ensuring they accurately reflect tenant needs and comply with acquisition regulations.
  • Identifies and evaluates potential local, national, and international service and material sources, conducting targeted market research to inform acquisition strategies.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines across all phases of acquisition and contract management, adhering to OCI plan and NDAs.
  • Executes logistics strategies aligned with SCRM to ensure secure, efficient delivery of mission-critical materials while mitigating supply chain risks
  • Ensures strict compliance with Federal, DoD, and state acquisition directives throughout the requirement definition phase, providing guidance on compliance issues.
  • Acts as a primary point of contact for tenant personnel regarding specific requirements, managing expectations and facilitating communication between technical teams and the tenant.
  • Operates with appreciable latitude in managing specific tenant engagements, defining technical requirements, and contributing significantly to the shaping of acquisition strategies.
  • Experience with IT Project Management
  • Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: acquisition compliance frameworks (FAR/DFARS/SOFARS requirements matrix); vendor proposal review checklists for technical/cost compliance; market research portals (ASSIST, GSA eLibrary, FedBizOpps, SAM.gov); supplier performance dashboards with SLA tracking and escalation procedures; contract expenditure monitoring systems; multi MIPR financial tracking tools with allocation rules; spend plan development templates; earned value management (EVM) tools; predictive analytics engines for procurement cost forecasting; COOP readiness trackers for supply chain continuity; stakeholder communication dashboards for procurement coordination; lessons learned repositories for acquisition and vendor management.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • Previous experience as an Engagement Lead or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level; Minimum of 2 years' experience with a BS/BA, or 0 years' experience with an MS/MA or 6 years' experience with no degree.
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • US citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications:
  • Must complete DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
  • PMO certification
Work Environment:
  • Location:MacDill AFB, FL
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
  • Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
