SOSi is seeking a Property Book Technician to join our team and provide technical property accountability and logistics support to our US government customer. This position supports the US Army's Area Support Group Property Book Officer (PBO) by independently conducting property transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulations and theater-specific policies. The role requires minimal supervision and a high level of attention to detail in support of deployed and permanent units.
Essential Job Duties:
- Prepare, process, and maintain all required government property accountability documentation in accordance with Army Regulations and DA Pamphlets.
- Maintain complete and accurate property book supporting documentation in compliance with Regulations, policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Process property accountability transactions within GCSS-Army, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness.
- Collect, analyze, and provide property data and reports using DST/PSD, FMS Web, and AESIP.
- Manage property books for multiple deployed units and permanent change of station (PCS) units throughout AOR.
- Ensure compliance with Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) standards and support inspections, audits, and reconciliation efforts as required.
- Identify and verify items not eligible for purchase through government supply systems and determine property accountability requirements for Government Purchase Card (GPC) purchases to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Assist the Property Book Officer with planning, coordinating, and overseeing unit new equipment fielding.
- Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned.
- Potentially perform as the contractor's on-site team lead for at least 6 other contractor employees.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Secret government security clearance.
- Minimum of three (3) years of U.S. Army Property Book experience supporting client-site property accountability operations.
- Ability to deploy overseas and complete pre-deployment training and medical screening.
- Demonstrated experience conducting property transactions on behalf of a Property Book Officer (PBO).
- Proven experience using the GCSS-Army automated property accounting system at the property book level.
- Working knowledge of the following systems and programs:
- Decision Support Tool (DST/PSD)
- Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP)
- Electronic Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (eFLIPL)
- Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) procedures

Work Environment:
- The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of heavy materials, boxes, or equipment.
