Position Overview:
Titania is seeking a qualified Technical Engineer and Policy Analyst to support the FAA eFAST AUS Support contract. This role is a critical on-site position located at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC, assisting the UAS Integration Office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a core member of the UAS team, you will:
Assist the UAS Integration Office in the development, review, and implementation of FAA, DOT, and other transportation rulemaking, policy, studies, and/or guidance documents used to guide decisions and achieve effective operational outcomes;
Assists the UAS Integration Office in developing and maintaining Policy Notices for Federal Registers; and
Assists the UAS Integration Office in developing and maintaining Memorandums of Understanding, Memorandums of Agreement, and other partnership agreements between the FAA, industry organizations and other government entities to describe broad concepts, mutual understandings, goals, and plans shared by the parties.
Support (non-ATO) coordination and collaboration with federal partners on policy matters regarding securing UAS aircraft and C-UAS.
Assist with providing technical expertise on UAS/CUAS system capabilities and associated vulnerabilities.
Support forensic investigation support of UAS security incidents and security related accidents.
Assist with providing forward looking OT&E testing and technical support for laser and high power microwave systems. Support technical integration of CUAS systems into the NAS and creation of an overall low altitude air domain awareness capability.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following education and experience pathways:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, or Science and 15+ years of relevant years
Without a bachelor’s degree, a candidate must have 23+ years of relevant experience
Must have extensive experience in the aviation field preferably with the FAA
Preferred Experience:
Prior FAA or aviation experience
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word), data management, data processing, and software management is essential.
Soft Skills: Ability to communicate orally and in writing with various individuals, both internal and external to the organization, to share information, respond to inquiries, or address problems promptly.
