The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector, Air Dominance Division is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Program Director. The position is located in Edwards AFB, CA and involves travel.
The director leads all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes operations and sustainment concepts. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from operations, maintenance and administrative areas.
In addition to the program role, the program director will support various higher-level operating unit functions such as strategy development, capture, proposals, and internal quality assessments.

Primary Level Salary Range: $224,300.00 - $336,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 9 years) of related experience; or Master's degree with 8 years (or Master of Science in a STEM discipline and 7 years) of related experience
- Related experience includes technical, functional, program management or major IPT leadership supporting DoD or other Federal Government Systems
- U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret Clearance at time of application
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
- EVMS Proficiency
- Ability to obtain SCI/SAP
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 year's experience as a program manager overseeing at least $100M/year in annual sales and organizing multi-disciplined teams of more than 350 employees total supporting diverse customers.
- Experience with operations, maintenance, and sustainment of weapons systems
- Experience in managing geographically separated teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong financial acumen
- Demonstrated success in strategy, program execution, and proposal support
