Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will investigate and resolve software issues associated with Automated Test Equipment. Perform software product development according to FBM and Lockheed Martin process and procedures. This includes requirements, object oriented and design, code and unit, integration, and support of formal delivery of the product. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of a software programming language (JAVA, C, C++, etc.) and be able to work well in a team environment, which requires excellent communication skills. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Computer
Engineering, or a related degree, from an
accredited college/university
-Experience programming in JAVA, C, C++, or
C#
-Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is
required for this role.
Desired Skills:
-Experience in the development of software used
in electronic Automated Equipment (ATE) or
other similar systems.
-Operating Systems (OS) background to include
Sun Solaris or Linux, Windows.
-Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture
-Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
-Experience reading schematic diagrams and
other technical documentation.
-Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
- Highly motivated and dedicated to completion
of tasks to a high standard

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
