Description:The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS)
Program sustains Launch Site Capabilities and provides launch support services to process Space Vehicles (SV). The highly specialized services involved in SV processing require expertise, familiarity, knowledge of program requirements, and technically complex one-of-a-kind Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) systems. These services include payload transportation; propellant services; payload processing support; mission integration; engineering and sustainment of specialized equipment, and facilities infrastructure. Services also include sustainment of security systems at Schriever Space Force Base, CO (SSFB), in addition to the two launch sites, Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA (VSFB) and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL (CCSFS)
Summary of Key Duties for this Position:
The Engineer selected for this position will be assigned to the Electrical Engineering team primarily supporting the Launch Base Mission Communications and IT Systems at CCSFS. Daily work is completed at customer facilities with limited opportunities for travel.
Daily work may include but is not limited to:
• Generating work authorizing documents
• Executing preventative maintenance procedures
• Investigating and troubleshooting system anomalies
• Creating Project Plans and managing projects
• Preparing, updating, and creating requirements, drawings, plans, and procedures
• Preparing and submitting purchase requisitions for parts and services
Basic Qualifications:
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance.
• Experience with fiber and Ethernet cable components and standards
Desired Skills:
• Willingness and ability to work occasional odd or extended shifts
• Familiarity with Launch Base Requirements Document (LBRD),
• In depth knowledge of fiber/ethernet standards and termination options
• Proficient with MS Visio, MS Project, MS Office tools
• Work effectively in a matrixed managed environment
• Knowledgeable of US Government/Military culture
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
