The Integrated System Evaluation team is seeking a Senior C++ / Rust Developer to design, build, and optimize high-performance, low-latency systems that power our core products. This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who thrives in performance-critical environments and enjoys owning architecture, reliability, and scalability end-to-end.
What you'll do:
- Architect, design, and implement high-performance systems in C++ and/or Rust
- Optimize for performance, memory usage, and concurrency
- Develop scalable, resilient services in distributed environments
- Lead technical design discussions and code reviews
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and observability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, DevOps, and QA
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers
- Drive best practices in systems design and reliability
- Participate in architectural decision-making and long-term roadmap planning
**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 5+ years of modern C++ experience OR 3+ years of production-grade Rust experience
- Experience with Linux-based systems
Desired Skills:
- Deep understanding of:
- Multithreading and concurrency models
- Memory management and performance optimization
- Networking (TCP/IP, gRPC, REST, WebSockets, etc)
- Data structures and algorithms
- Strong de-bugging and profiling skills
- Experience building large-scale or performance-critical systems
- Experience with distributed systems architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Open-source contributions in C++ or Rust ecosystems
- GUI Frameworks: .Net, Qt 4/5/6

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
