This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced SME Systems Integrator to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.

In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility, enterprise program at the intersection of data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a System Operations Plan (SOP) for managing all system operations related aspects of the program.
  • Manage, operate, and maintain the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and Data Center (DC) environments that host the System Infrastructure.
  • Oversee the release and deployment management processes for System software releases, including preparation and maintenance of Software Release Plans and Roll Back Plans.
  • Perform system administration and maintenance activities on the System to ensure operational compliance with cybersecurity mandates.
  • Implement and manage a Patch Management process to keep System software up to date with DoD patching requirements.
  • Establish and maintain Asset Management systems, processes, and procedures for inventorying and tracking all cloud, hardware, and software assets for the System.
  • Implement and operate an Incident Response process for collecting, tracking, diagnosing, and resolving all System incidents.
  • Design, implement, and operate mechanisms for receiving, tracking, and addressing System cybersecurity incidents and spillage.
  • Design, implement, and operate an Event Management process for proactive system maintenance and special activities.
  • Monitor, track, and report SLA performance measures and KPPs for all System services that employ SLAs.
  • Ensure seamless end-to-end system performance by validating interoperability and resolving integration issues.
  • Utilize AWS cloud service management consoles for managing System CSP environments.
  • Conduct network system administration tasks including patching, upgrading, securing, and troubleshooting network routes and firewall administration.
  • Provide regular reporting of SLA performance breaches to engineers, software developers, and customer success personnel.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 12–15 years of relevant experience  OR  Master’s degree in a related field and 10–13 years of relevant experience.
  • At least one of the following foundational qualification pathways consistent with DoD 8140 requirements:
    • Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification appropriate for Advanced System Administrator roles (e.g., CASP+, CCNP Security, GCED, or equivalent),
    • Offerings listed in the DoD 8140 Training Repository,
    • Demonstrated equivalent training and experience qualifying under DoD 8140 foundational qualification alternatives.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in performing systems integration and system operations for enterprise level applications and/or systems used for strategic decision making.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud service management consoles.
  • Proficiency in system administration of Active Directory, AWS Services, DevSecOps Pipelines using GitLab, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, and Splunk.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining cloud and data center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity mandates and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in incident response and cybersecurity incident management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive system operations and incident response plans.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly.
  • Experience with AWS Kubernetes, F5 Big IP, Grafana, ICAM, Keycloak, and Big Bang and Chainguard services.
  • Familiarity with DoD patching requirements and timelines.
  • Experience in asset management and maintaining asset databases.
  • Knowledge of event management processes and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of SLA performance measures and KPPs.
  • Experience in release and deployment management processes for software systems.
  • Ability to automate software patching activities and other system operations tasks.


Clearance Required:
  • Must possess an Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility at time of consideration.

Pay Range: Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
