Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to apply their understanding of budgetary policies, procedures, and regulations to resolve a wide-range of budgetary problems. Providing program managers and staff officials with interpreting the impact of and planning for financial/budgetary and program changes and development of alternative solutions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

- You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
- You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities, review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
- You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods of the acquisition and use of funds to support the organizations programs and activities.
- You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizations programs and administrative operations.
