Acquisition Associate

• Provide journeyman-level acquisition and program management support to Government Program Managers (PMs), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and functional stakeholders supporting SSC programs, including hardware, software, cyber, cloud, and enterprise IT initiatives.
• Perform execution support across acquisition planning, documentation development, coordination, tracking, and reporting activities in accordance with SSC, USSF, and DoD acquisition processes.
• Support development and maintenance of program artifacts, schedules, risk registers, action trackers, briefing materials, and decision-support products; coordinate cross-functional inputs from engineering, contracting, financial management, cybersecurity, and operations personnel; and maintain organized repositories to ensure audit readiness and continuity.
• Assist PMs in monitoring cost, schedule, and performance execution through maintenance of metrics, dashboards, and program status inputs, including support to Agile, DevSecOps, or software delivery environments where applicable.
• Provide advisory assistance during industry engagements by supporting review and analysis of technical proposals, white papers, ROMs, and contractor deliverables; prepare comparative analyses and staff packages for Government use; and participate in technical interchange meetings with prime contractors in a non-decision-making capacity.
• Perform all contractor-facing activities in compliance with Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) requirements and applicable FAR guidance, ensuring protection of procurement-sensitive information and avoiding inherently governmental functions such as directing contractors, scoring proposals, or making source selection decisions. Interface professionally with Government and industry stakeholders while maintaining objectivity and neutrality, and support recurring program reviews, technical meetings, data calls, and reporting requirements to sustain PM execution tempo.

Experience: 5-7 years of relevant professional experience supporting acquisition, program management, engineering, enterprise IT, software, cybersecurity, or complex technical programs within U.S. Government organizations, FFRDCs, government support contractors, or commercial aerospace/technology industry environments. Direct SSC or space acquisition experience preferred; relevant commercial industry program experience may be considered equivalent.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Acquisition, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Finance, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related discipline. Relevant industry certifications or demonstrated professional experience may be considered in lieu of direct Government acquisition experience.

Tools/Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms required; familiarity with TMT or equivalent workflow systems desired; experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools preferred.

Clearance: Must either hold an active Secret Clearance or be willing to obtain one promptly.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing maybe required . This would require the ability to move files, or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, ability to lift up to 40lbs.
