Overview:
The Mobile Applications Lead/SME is expected to fill a dynamic role involving both consulting directly with clients to identify and architect solutions to client challenges and also serving as a resource for developers to leverage to implement solutions on mobile platforms. Successful candidates will have a proven capability to drive their work, collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and develop distinctive and innovative mobile solutions. The Mobile Applications Lead/SME is expected to work with a tight-knit technical team within our Endpoint Engineering Services government customer division. This position will also perform MDM Engineering functions.
Required: The position requires three (3) days a week onsite at either Springfield, VA or Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
This position will have a high degree of independence while working with the client and successful candidate must be a self-starter that is able to take a project from initiation to completion. A typical week will involve technical collaboration and hands-on work with development tools, implementation of production and lab systems, collaboration with engineers on other teams, and interaction with vendor resources.

Enterprise Mobile Applications:
• Support current and future Endpoint Engineering Services projects.
• Work with the Intune MDM team to complete the build-out for Department-wide enterprise application implementations, instructing app developers regarding DOS standard requirements and responsibilities, and alignment with Department release cycles
• Familiarity and experience with building, packaging, and deploying mobile applications within an enterprise environment
• Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM) configurations, usage, and licensing in a large enterprise environment
• Experience working within common Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Microsoft Intune
• Work with the vendor and team resources on troubleshooting issues
• Leverage ABM, Apple Store, and Google Play Store in a government enterprise IT environment
• Provide expert assistance with testing and validation to Information Assurance (IA) Auditors, security engineers, Privacy (P) Office managers, and 508 compliance managers regarding App management
• Assist customers with web-enabled front-end apps.
• Assist customers with back-end systems.
Commercial Mobile Applications:
• Design logic engines for the automated vetting of commercially available mobile apps.
• Securely integrate Department of State (DOS) Mobile Data Management (MDM) systems with third-party commercial app solutions.
• Provide expert commercial application advice and assistance to government POCs and management
Apple Enterprise Developer Program
• Administer user roles, certificates, provisioning profiles, and device registrations to support secure development, testing, and production deployment environments.
• Deploy end-to-end application deployment to the Apple App Store, including build submission and release scheduling
• Proactively manage user accounts, certificates, apps, and provisioning profiles.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience
• 10 years of experience with federal IT support, mobility initiatives, MDM and app/dev support work
• Familiarity and experience with building, packaging, and deploying mobile applications within an enterprise environment
• Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM) configurations, usage, and licensing in a large enterprise environment
• Experience working within common Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Microsoft Intune
• Experience integrating applications into common MDM platforms
• Can translate user requests into creative and effective technical designs
• Comprehensive understanding of new technology platforms and capabilities
• Produce documentation, as required, through all aspects of a project including requirements, field and table-level descriptions, design, test plans, and support documentation.
• Understanding of code scanning technologies and the ability to advise on their adoption and integration within the development lifecycle.
• Working Knowledge of the following:
Mobile App development using Agile methodology
Managing a GitHub source code repository
Mobile App experience with programming in Swift, Objective-C, Java, or similar language is nice to have but not an absolute requirement
HTML and Responsive Web design
Relational Database Management Systems
Strong communication skills
Specific Skills:
* Ability to communicate effectively with management and a variety of stakeholders.
* Ability to work with a diverse group of Civil Servants, Foreign Service Specialists, contractors, and third-party vendors.
* Ability to take on peripheral tasks including network configuration changes, software updates, and hardware upgrades
