Help

  • Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
  • Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
  • Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
  • Prepares recurring and special reports. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.
  • Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.
  • Performs cargo screening, vehicle security and inspections, and material delivery for the installation.

    • This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.

    • (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
    • This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
    • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
    • The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
    • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
    • May be required to lift, carry and move supplies and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
    Qualifications

    In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Supply Clerical and Technician Series, 2005.

    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of at the NJ-01 (or higher) pay band (GS-04 equivalent) or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions. Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.

    EDUCATION: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

    COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
  • Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions. Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.
  • Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
  • Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies.
  • Employee is required to complete a Hazard Waste Workers training course and maintain annual refresher training as a condition of employment.
  • Employee is required to obtain and maintain an X-Ray Image Interpretation and Analysis certification as a condition of employment.

  • PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

    VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
