We are seeking a talented and driven Azure Data Migration Engineer to join our innovative team at Blu Omega. In this critical role, you will lead complex data migration projects, ensuring seamless transfer of data from legacy systems to Azure platforms. Location: Remote

Clearance Needed: ACTIVE Secret or higher

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Develop detailed data mapping documents translating source data schemas to target Dataverse tables, incorporating business rules.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, and quality checks to guarantee accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
  • Analyze and map Oracle database schemas to Dataverse structures, defining transformation and cleansing logic as needed.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support efficient data migration from Oracle databases.
  • Implement data transformation workflows to ensure compatibility with Dataverse data types, relationships, and constraints, including lookups, choices, and date/time fields.
  • Configure and manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for extract, transform, load (ETL) operations using various data sources such as CSV files and Oracle CDCs.
  • Monitor, log, and troubleshoot errors within ADF pipelines to maintain smooth data flows and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Push data to Dataverse tables, applying necessary transformations and configurations to match target field types.
  • Leverage additional Azure services like Logic Apps, Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL to optimize migration workflows.
  • Utilize scripting skills (Python/Shell) to automate processes and generate reconciliation reports via SQL or scripting solutions.
  • Support version control practices using Git and CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent deployment and integration.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data migration and Azure cloud environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expertise in data migration, with advanced skills in SQL, Oracle, and Microsoft Azure services.
  • Strong knowledge of Dataverse data types, CRUD operations, and Power Platform integration.
  • Experience configuring and managing Azure Data Factory pipelines, Data Lake, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Shell, along with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex data schemas and develop transformation logic aligned with business requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:
  • Proficiency with MS Azure SQL Database and Data Lake Analytics.
  • Experience developing SSIS packages and handling data exports in CSV format.
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure Data Lake and Data Factory performance optimization.
  • Additional scripting expertise in Python or Shell scripting.
  • Certifications related to Azure Data Engineering or Cloud Solutions.

Salary Range: $90K-$150K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
