IT Project Lead

Overview

IT PROJECT LEAD (VDEPT):

Bowhead is seeking a IT Project Lead to support our V-Department contract in Dahlgren, VA. The Project Lead will be responsible for managing all aspects of project performance, including technical direction, cost control, and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

• Planning, executing, and closing projects that meet or exceed customer objectives.
• Creating clear and attainable project objectives, building project requirements, and managing constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality.
• Developing the overall project plan and managing project operations.
• Managing the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, project budget, and project conflicts.
• Ensuring team members know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members.
• Ensuring schedules are met and resources are used effectively.
• Ensuring proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services.
• DOD Information Awareness (IA) and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and policies.
• Strategic reviews and Information Technology processes, IT Lifecycle Management and technologies and gather and analyze requirements.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years project management experience managing complex IT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Services, Project Management or equivalent.
• Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, ITIL Practitioner, or Federal Acquisition Certification Program/Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) Entry Level or equivalent.
• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II or higher certification desired

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
