Location: Northern Virginia
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Leidos is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to be part of a team located in Northern Virginia. This position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph. The Geospatial Analyst will be part of an integrated team made up of both Leidos and government staff. The successful candidate will have strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team. The Geospatial Analyst position will support cartographic production efforts and ArcGIS Online portal map creation for our government customer.

What You’ll Do
As a key member of an integrated contractor–government team, you will:
  • Lead and execute custom mapping requests in both high-quality print and interactive web formats, managing multiple geospatial projects under minimal supervision, working with customers to define project requirements and provide advice on processes and procedures for optimal visualization.
  • Design and produce thematic and reference maps supporting finished intelligence products, briefings, and publications
  • Develop and manage ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS map products and web applications
  • Collaborate directly with customers to define requirements and recommend optimal visualization strategies
  • Manage multiple geospatial projects with minimal supervision
  • Contribute to complex intelligence analysis through high-impact cartographic production
  • Conduct open-source data collection and support web-based ESRI applications
  • Partner with development teams to enhance geospatial capabilities


Your work will directly contribute to national-level intelligence efforts — where accuracy, clarity, and visual insight matter.
Required Qualifications
  •  Bachelor’s degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience in Geography, GIS, Cartography, Computer Science, or related field with formal GIS training, or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of professional geospatial experience
  • Advanced expertise in ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro
  • Strong knowledge of geodatabases, including vector and raster data management
  • Experience working with shapefiles and file geodatabases
  • Proficiency with coordinate systems, map projections, and datums
  • Strong foundation in cartographic principles, theory, and visualization best practices
  • Experience with ESRI web platforms including Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online, and Web Application development
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Experience with Python or JavaScript for web scraping and data extraction
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS, REST APIs, and scripting tools (e.g., requests, urllib)
  • Experience parsing HTML and JSON data
  • Familiarity with QGIS
  • Ability to develop reusable, efficient scripts to support automated web data collection
  • Experience leveraging public APIs for open-source research

Pay Range: Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
