Position Summary and Responsibilities:

Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking a Financial Systems Developer with strong programming and systems integration expertise to support and enhance the company’s financial planning, analytics, and reporting platforms. This role emphasizes hands-on development, automation, and system optimization across finance and enterprise business systems.

The Financial Systems Developer will:

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain financial analytics, planning, and reporting solutions.
Develop and optimize data models, calculations, and business logic within enterprise financial systems.
Write, maintain, and troubleshoot scripts, queries, and integrations to support automated data loads, transformations, and reconciliations.
Perform requirements analysis and translate financial and business needs into technical specifications and system designs.
Build and enhance dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using enterprise BI and planning platforms.
Integrate data across financial, operational, and source systems, ensuring accuracy, performance, and data integrity.
Support and administer financial systems, including security, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Business Management teams to resolve complex system and data issues.
Provide technical support, documentation, and training to end users and stakeholders.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Power Query, and automation.
Demonstrated programming or scripting experience (e.g., SQL, MDX, Python, PowerShell, or similar).
Experience developing, debugging, and optimizing queries against relational databases (Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strongly Preferred:

5+ years of experience supporting enterprise financial or business systems.
Experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), including model development, rules, processes, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
Working knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and system automation.
Experience developing dashboards, reports, or analytical applications.
Background in financial analysis and/or accounting.
Experience working in government contracting environments.
