This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch team for our new Fredericksburg, VA site! You'll be based primarily in Fredericksburg as we scale operations. During the initial phase, which could be several months, travel to Stafford, Louisa, and Manassas may be required to support operational needs and training while the Fredericksburg sites ramp up to full capacity. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our rapidly expanding team. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair as well as participating in an on-call rotation.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.

Key job responsibilities
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
- Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
- Some regional travel may be required

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
