Torch Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst to join a team responsible for the Missile Defense System (MDS) Ground Test (GT) scenario design for the Missile Defense Agency. This position supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground Test Scenario Design Team.
The MDA GTs are used to assess our nation's defense systems through a variety of HWIL and simulation tests. The Scenario Design team uses their understanding of how each of these systems work and interoperate in defense against adversaries to build the tests. Our work is a fast-paced blend of systems engineering, test engineering, and systems analysis. Our knowledge is constantly expanding, and we are known for developing innovative solutions. The team works closely with a dedicated software team to improve tools and processes. The qualified candidate will analyze requirements and constraints, utilize existing tools while providing input for future tool development, and quickly learn the MDS. This candidate enjoys learning, analyzing data, solving complex problems, innovating processes, and producing excellent products.

As a Systems Engineer/Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
- Analyze requirements and constraints related to MDS Ground Test scenario design
- Characterize and assess MDS components and their interoperability
- Support HWIL and simulation-based test development and execution
- Utilize existing analysis and scenario design tools and provide input for future tool enhancements
- Learn and apply detailed knowledge of the MDS architecture and components
- Analyze data and produce high-quality technical products and briefings
- Present findings clearly to stakeholders
- Track and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced team environment
- Collaborate effectively with systems engineers, analysts, and software developers
- Develop innovative solutions to complex system and test challenges
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- BS in Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in system analysis or characterization of MDS components (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis, Patriot, CD, UEWR, SBX, TPY-2, LRDR, etc.), to include weapon system and/or radar analysis experience
- Experience may be in roles with progressively increasing responsibility
- Active Secret clearance (required to start)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously
- Highly motivated and committed to completing tasks with excellence and within deadlines
- Ability to effectively work within a fast-paced team environment)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Tableau, SQL, and/or Python
