- You will function as the NOFS facilities manager and will serve as the primary liaison between NOFS and NAFEC/NAVFAC.
- You will act as the on-site authority during any facilities-related crisis or emergency, providing expert guidance to leadership and staff in accordance with regulatory and agency protocols.
- You will execute safety policies that include maintenance safety plans, laser safety plans, electrical safety plans, and all instructions related to personnel safety.
- You will manage and coordinate visitor access in alignment with USNO and NAFEC policy.
- You will organize evacuations, base closures, document and oversee base-wide shut-down procedures on behalf of the USNO Deputy Superintendent.
- You will manage multiple contracting actions of various types supporting mission requirements.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- The work requires changes in elevation of 150 feet.
- You will be required to operate on machinery such as forklifts.
- You will be required to move hazardous materials.
- Incumbent will need to be able to lift 20 pounds regularly.
- The work requires incumbent to climb ladders and work in extreme weather.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- Experience in Facilities & Safety Management: Deep knowledge of building management, maintenance, environmental regulations, and safety policies, specifically including OSHA and Navy safety instructions.
- Experience in Physical Security: Thorough understanding of DoD and DoN physical security programs, including access control, visitor management, and lock/key custodian responsibilities.
- Experience in Logistics & Administration: Experience with government logistics, including equipment inventory, hazardous material handling, and the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) process.
- Experience in Contract Management: Capability to serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), including developing technical requirements and overseeing contractor performance.
- Experience in Independent Judgment: A demonstrated ability to interpret and apply a wide range of conflicting and often incomplete guidelines from DoD, DoN, and other agencies to make sound decisions.
