Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implementing a comprehensive explosives safety management program to oversee the safe and efficient handling, storage, transportation, disposal, and treatment of explosives; developing safety articles, bulletins, and pamphlets for use by personnel in support of training; AND analyzing safety gaps, deficiencies, and program compliance variances to develop explosives safety compliance.

Within 24 months of appointment, the incumbent must meet the following initial training

The following additional courses must be completed within 48 months of appointment as ESO:

- You will perform and ensure periodic inspections, assessments, and surveys of explosives facilities, equipment and operations to identify and resolve program compliance variances.
- You will develop and recommend specialized alternative courses of action to resolve hazardous conditions, unsafe work practices, and program compliance variances where current procedures are not currently applicable.
- You will assist in the development and review of explosives operation Standard Operating Procedures.
- You will recognize risks and recommend appropriate measures to prevent unnecessary personnel exposure and eliminate or control hazardous operating conditions.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
