Systems Engineer, Mid-Level

Overview

Bowhead seeks a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the Counter Unmanned Aeriel System Research and Developement program in the Hypersonics Division of the Integrated Systems Department in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

• Develop Systems Engineering Plans for weapons system integration onto existing weapon systems platforms.
• Review weapon system requirements and develop ICDs
• Use model based system engineer tools (ex: Cameo)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering,
  scientific, or technical discipline.
• Six (6) years professional technical experience which includes
  at least four (4) years specialized experience performing mechanical, electrical, aerospace,
  industrial, systems, or computer engineering.
• Engineering experiences include:
  • systems requirements management
  • model based systems engineering design
  • engineering software tool implementation
  • prototype engineering design and product development
  • integration engineering, risk management, and test and evaluation engineering planning and execution
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
