Position Summary
The Strategic Marketing & Product Ownership Specialist will serve as a key driver of market penetration, customer engagement, and capture support across Department of Defense and Federal IT markets. The role focuses on translating technical capabilities—such as enterprise data center operations, cybersecurity, cloud/hybrid infrastructure, and IT modernization—into compelling narratives that resonate with government program managers, contracting officers, and acquisition stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in federal IT marketing, business development strategy, and customer engagement, along with the ability to build multi-quarter marketing roadmaps aligned with government procurement cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Market Strategy & Marketing Development
Develop and execute data-driven market penetration strategies targeting Department of Defense and Federal IT customers, with emphasis on Air Force and Hill AFB accounts.
Create high-quality marketing collateral including capability statements, one-pagers, marketing slicks, and presentation decks tailored for federal acquisition audiences.
Develop and maintain standardized messaging, win themes, and value propositions across service offerings including data center operations, cybersecurity, cloud/hybrid infrastructure, and IT modernization.
Build and manage quarterly and annual marketing campaign roadmaps aligned with business development goals and the federal fiscal calendar.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
Serve as a primary point of contact for customer engagement activities including industry days, site visits, market surveys, and pre-award discussions with government stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with contracting officers, program managers, and CORs across Air Force and Federal civilian agencies.
Oversee the customer experience across engagement touchpoints and identify improvements in communication, responsiveness, and service delivery.
Lead customer meetings to discuss program goals, desired outcomes, and address any service or communication gaps.
Capture & Proposal Support
Develop account penetration plans for priority customers and maintain engagement history and pipeline activity within CRM tools.
Support capture activities by developing win strategies, discriminators, and messaging in collaboration with technical and program leadership.
Contribute to proposal content, executive summaries, and solution positioning.
Translate complex technical capabilities such as virtualization, RMF/cybersecurity, cloud/hybrid environments, and application onboarding into clear, value-driven messaging for non-technical government audiences.
Product & Market Analysis
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform positioning and differentiation strategies.
Define and manage product/service roadmaps aligned with mission priorities and procurement cycles.
Track and report KPIs related to marketing performance, pipeline development, and customer engagement outcomes.
