What You Will Be Doing:
Leading software architecture, design, and development efforts for analytic modeling and simulation platforms.
Translating research prototypes (e.g., Jupyter notebooks and analytic scripts) into production-ready applications and services.
Developing and maintaining web-based analytic applications using technologies such as:
Python (primary language)
Flask, Streamlit, Dash, or similar frameworks
RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
Implementing scalable data pipelines and backend services supporting graph analytics, spatiotemporal models, anomaly detection, and co-traveler analytics.
Integrating models developed by Social Scientists and Operations Research Data Scientists into secure and performant software environments.
Ensuring software compliance with DoD cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and accreditation requirements.
Developing automated testing frameworks to validate model performance, reproducibility, and system reliability.
Optimizing performance of data-intensive and computationally complex analytic systems.
Implementing secure data handling, access controls, logging, and auditing mechanisms consistent with government requirements.
Participating in code reviews, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Producing technical documentation, system design artifacts, and user documentation for government stakeholders.
Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
Must Have:
MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances.
SEC+ certification.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline

5+ years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in Python and experience developing production-grade applications.
Familiarity with R scripting.
Experience building web-based analytic tools and RESTful services.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and large-scale data systems.
Understanding of software security best practices and secure coding standards.
Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary technical teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree and 8 years’ experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years' experience OR PhD and 4 years’ experience.
Nice to Have:
Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, or other federal compliance frameworks.
Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
Familiarity with graph databases, social network analysis tools, or geospatial data systems.
Experience deploying applications in cloud or hybrid environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premise secure environments).
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices within regulated environments.
