MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities:
- Administer and coordinate all aspects of the industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies
- Develop and maintain security procedures, including the creation of manuals and training programs for site employees
- Conduct thorough internal investigations and security audits to protect organizational properties and sensitive information
- Respond to and manage contingency events, such as environmental threats or security breaches, in coordination with law enforcement
- Oversee the selection and management of external security contractors and guard forces to maintain onsite safety
- Analyze standard security problems and implement effective solutions using established precedents and professional judgment
- Provide guidance to new associates on security protocols while supporting the overall quality and integrity of the team's work
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
- 5+ years of professional experience in industrial security or a related discipline
- Proven knowledge of government security standards and the ability to apply them in a corporate environment
- Experience in conducting internal investigations and risk assessments to safeguard company assets
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security information in straightforward situations
- Proficiency in managing emergency response protocols and coordinating with government law enforcement agencies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing a contract guard force within a government contracting environment
- Advanced understanding of key business drivers and their impact on organizational security needs
- Certification as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) through the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency
- Ability to work independently with a moderate level of guidance while solving a range of straightforward problems
Clearance Requirements:
- An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
