The organization seeks a Senior IT Specialist to install, integrate, operate, and troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure. The role will design and oversee upgrades to networking, systems, and storage while coordinating with cybersecurity stakeholders. The position will manage Tier III support for IP networking, core services such as DNS and DHCP, and routing protocols to sustain enterprise operations and recovery. Candidates will apply expertise with IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT to optimize performance and resilience.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal IT system operations.
- Design and oversee upgrades and new installations of IT systems and services in coordination with cybersecurity stakeholders.
- Execute Tier III upgrades for networking, IT systems, and storage networking.
- Conduct Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management for IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems to sustain network operations and oversee recovery when required.
Experience Requirements:
- Ten or more years of IT experience including IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.
- Proven Tier III support experience across networking, systems, and storage networking.
- Hands-on administration and optimization of DNS and DHCP.
- Experience designing and executing system upgrades and new deployments in coordination with cybersecurity.
Education Requirements:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or
- Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) or
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
- Active Top Secret Clearance or higher
