Responsibilities for the Radio Frequency Communications:
- The Radio Frequency / Communications Engineer provides engineering and technical support for the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of RF and communications systems supporting training, operational, and enterprise environments. The individual ensures communications capabilities are reliable, interoperable, secure, and compliant with applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
- Responsibilities include supporting analysis and design of RF and communications architectures; assisting with frequency planning, spectrum management coordination, and interference mitigation; and supporting integration of communications systems with platforms, networks, and training systems. The RF / Communications Engineer supports development and review of technical requirements, interface specifications, and communications plans.
- Additional duties include supporting installation, configuration, testing, and validation of RF and communications equipment; participating in test events, demonstrations, and exercises; supporting Government Acceptance Testing (GAT); and collecting and analyzing performance data related to coverage, reliability, latency, and interoperability. The role assists with troubleshooting communications issues and provides technical recommendations to improve system performance and resilience.
- The RF / Communications Engineer collaborates with systems engineers, network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, trainers, and program managers to ensure communications systems support mission objectives, safety requirements, and operational readiness.
Qualifications for the Radio Frequency Communications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, RF Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting RF or communications engineering within a DoD, Federal, or enterprise environment
- Demonstrated experience with:
- RF and communications system design and integration
- Spectrum management and frequency coordination
- Communications testing and performance analysis
- Interoperability and interference mitigation
- Technical documentation and stakeholder coordination
- Active Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Radio Frequency Communications:
- $110,000 to $125,000 *Depending on Experience
