Onsite Job - Non Destructive Evaluation Technical Analyst
Berkeley, MO | Contract-to-Hire | First Shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
About the Role
Join Indotronix as a Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Technical Analyst and play a pivotal role as the NDE Lab focal at our Berkeley, MO location. You'll be integral to a dynamic engineering team supporting leading aerospace, defense, and space programs-including 787, 777X, F-15, Commercial Crew, and more. This is a hands-on, 100% onsite opportunity with potential for permanent hire after six months.
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic principles to analyze and evaluate complex parts, materials, and technology
- Lead and coordinate in-depth root cause analyses and failure investigations to drive product reliability and safety
- Develop and execute test plans, document findings, and deliver actionable recommendations
- Maintain strict compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations
- Propose, develop, and validate revisions to technical procedures and specifications
- Assess suitability of materials and processes, collaborating with suppliers and customers to resolve technical challenges
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives as a subject matter expert
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians
- Assist the Team Lead in defining strategies and supporting work statements
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Nondestructive Evaluation
- Associate degree (AAS) required
- ASNT Level 2 certification in Eddy Current and Ultrasonic NDE methods
- Proficiency in CATIA, Unigraphics, and Mentor Graphics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
- Eligibility for U.S. Secret Security Clearance (interim or final post-start)
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, energy)
- ASNT Level 2 in additional NDE processes (radiography, penetrant inspection)
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary teams and technical/non-technical customers
- Deep understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, fracture mechanics
- Familiarity with project management tools
- Effective time management across multiple projects and locations
- Active/current U.S. Secret Security Clearance is a plus
