Our client is an award winning global integrator supporting a large federal security and background‑screening contract. They are seeking a Software Security Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on protecting enterprise systems, improving secure software development practices, and ensuring compliance with high‑level security standards.
Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE.
Responsibilities:
Proactively monitor and safeguard systems against threats and vulnerabilities.
Perform secure code reviews to strengthen software quality and reduce risk.
Test, evaluate, and validate security tools and applications.
Identify root causes of security issues and recommend mitigation strategies.
Implement and maintain security-related tools, automations, and configurations.
Educate development teams on secure coding best practices.
Contribute to design efforts for security-focused software solutions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on cybersecurity or secure software engineering experience.
Strong understanding of application security, threat mitigation, and secure development practices.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across distributed teams.
