Our client is an award winning global integrator supporting a large federal security and background‑screening contract.  They are seeking a seeking a Database Administrator to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of mission‑critical databases. The DBA will ensure system availability, performance, reliability, and security within a highly controlled environment.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE.

Responsibilites:
Implement and maintain database designs, including creation of tables, schemas, columns, data types, and constraints.
Ensure databases remain highly available, stable, and operating without errors.
Monitor database health and performance, including capacity, utilization, and query efficiency.
Apply patches, upgrades, and updates to maintain security and system integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database accessibility, performance, and data integrity.
Communicate database changes, enhancements, and maintenance activities to end users and stakeholders.
Provide training or guidance to users on updated systems, tools, or database features.
Maintain accurate technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and database structures.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
3+ years of database administration experience with relational database systems.
Experience with database monitoring, tuning, backup and recovery, and security best practices.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to support mission-critical environments.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
