Eiden Systems Consulting is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the development, automation, and maintenance of secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure in a high-security environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with GitLab CI/CD, containerized environments, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to streamline software delivery and ensure reliable, repeatable deployments. This role works closely with development, security, and operations teams to implement automated workflows, maintain secure environments, and support modern DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including complex YAML configurations, custom runners, and reusable pipeline templates.
• Develop and maintain containerized environments using Docker or Podman and manage orchestration with Kubernetes (K8s).
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Ansible for automated provisioning and configuration of environments.
• Establish and manage build automation processes, including nightly builds, automated linting, and unit testing gates.
• Support development and deployment processes in air-gapped or restricted high-security environments.
• Administer and maintain collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Mattermost.
• Work closely with development teams to optimize CI/CD workflows, improve build reliability, and support scalable deployment strategies.
• Assist in implementing DevSecOps best practices to ensure secure and compliant software delivery pipelines.

Required Qualifications
• Experience building and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including YAML-based workflows, custom runners, and pipeline templates.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience implementing build automation processes, including nightly builds, automated linting, and unit testing integration.
• Ability to support development and deployment in air-gapped or high-security environments.
• Administrative-level familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Mattermost.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, AWS, Azure, or GitLab certifications.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience integrating automated security tools such as SAST, DAST, and SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of system hardening and compliance frameworks, including implementation of STIGs and compliance with NIST 800-53 or RMF standards.
• Familiarity with Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) requirements and secure software supply chain best practices.
