We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support multidisciplinary engineering efforts that ensure the delivery of timely and accurate Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), the Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies.
This position provides senior-level technical leadership and advisory support to Government stakeholders, contributing to the integration and advancement of complex, mission-critical systems operating across organizational and national boundaries.

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Key Responsibilities
The Expert-Level Systems Engineer will:
- Assist the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and system analysis efforts across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.
- Support the planning and analysis of user requirements, architectures, workflows, procedures, and system challenges to improve or automate existing capabilities.
- Conduct requirements traceability and assess cloud service capabilities, workflow processes, and scheduling constraints.
- Advise the Government on proposed solution design changes based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.
- Assist in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into defined system and capability requirements and solutions.
- Support the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and execution programs.
- Participate in and support systems integration activities.
- Assist in leading Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.
- Contribute to strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
- Provide expert-level guidance aligning vision, strategy, plans, requirements, processes, and capability development efforts.
- Operate at the level of integrating multiple Major System Acquisitions across organizational, agency, departmental, and national boundaries.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Systems Engineers.

Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field, or:
- 4 additional years of relevant experience with no degree, or
- 2 additional years of relevant experience with a non-STEM degree.
- 4 additional years of relevant experience with no degree, or
- 18 years of experience in government or industry supporting relevant functional areas, including:
- DoD/IC Acquisition Process
- Requirements Process
- Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES)
- Systems Engineering of large, complex Systems of Systems
- Service-Oriented Architecture environments operating in cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructures
- Strong understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) / Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) enterprises.
- Previous program or project experience with National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) or within the NSG/ASG environment.
- Prior program or project experience within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
- TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, processes, tools, and languages.
- Software Development Framework certification.
- International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
- Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as:
- American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM)
- American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
- American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS)
- Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)
- Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)
- United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF)
- Extensive professional experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
- Experience engineering solutions using:
- Cloud-based technologies
- Structured and unstructured Big Data environments
- Automation, augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies
- Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), geomatics, or related disciplines.
