-Experience reviewing engineering level details such as design specifications, drawings, blueprints, and work from sketches.

The incumbent must be physically able to climb 980 foot towers, if needed.
The incumbent is required to work in RF radiation fields approximately 50% of the time. This may cause effects that vary from slight to the point of actual burns. However, the strategic importance of the Detachment's mission makes it imperative that repairs must be addressed by the station in order to continue its broadcast. The incumbent must be ever cognizant of the potential danger to personnel from both direct and induced RF energy to ensure personnel under the incumbent's supervision remain safe.

This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
The Cyber Interagency Transfer Authority (CITA) permits movement of CES employees appointed under Section 1599f of Title 10 U.S.C. and excepted service employees appointed under Schedule A, Section 213.3106(b)(11) of Title 5 CFR, into cyber workforce positions in the competitive service and movement of competitive service employees into DoD Cyber Workforce positions within the Military Departments and Defense Agencies.

- You will serve as the Telecommunications Manager in the N32 Operations Antenna Maintenance at NCTS Hampton Roads Detachment Cutler.
- You will serve as the Antenna Division Head and Supervisor maintaining the AN/FRT-31 Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmitter antenna system.
- You will lead all planning, assignment of work, implementation, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities.
- You will assign work to subordinate based upon priorities, difficultly of assignments and the capabilities of employees.
- You will represent the Division in Detachment meetings addressing multiple subject matters.
- You will plan and develop all Division Budget and Project Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions.
- You will review, interpret, analyze and assess specialized technical information about multiple planned upgrade and replacement projects.
- You will provide technical reviews to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment.
- You will serve as a highly skilled maintenance worker responsible for maintaining the Division's Maintenance Material and Management System (3M).
- You will provide recommended solutions to the Technical Director involving operational, maintenance, material, repair parts, hazardous working conditions, and other topics that could impact the mission.
