This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

- You will serve as a subject matter expert in the fields of hydrography and bathymetry, supporting data collection, data processing, quality control, data archival, product generation, and/or product dissemination.
- You will review the work of peers and junior grade employees for technical soundness and conformance to accepted standards.
- You will make decisions on work problems presented by employees and collaborates with Branch Heads to coordinate work related changes.
- You will advise Branch Head on problems involving the relationship of the work of the Branch to broader programs and its impact on such programs.
- You will prepare publishable scientific reports whenever findings are of significant interest to the Navy or scientific community.
