WhoYou Are:
Versar is currently seeking a Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, engineering, and monitoring of the IESS network infrastructure. Tasks include managing network security, overseeing system integration, and coordinating with agency IT personnel to ensure robust and secure IESS network operations.
Identify, monitor, and define the system's overall security requirements. Build and fortify the IESS network, comprised of interconnected physical security systems. Document, assess, and manage the enterprise structural framework to align with the agency’s security IT strategy, mission, and strategic goals. Ensure technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by developing and implementing an IT network management plan and conducting regular reviews. Evaluate existing systems, including performance, security, capacity, scalability, cost, and other relevant factors.

Compensation
Expected Salary: $130,000- $155,000
Versar Global Solutions provides the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
Location Requirements
The position will primarily work onsite at the GAO HQ Building in Washington, DC. (Some remote may be possible.)

What You’ll Do:

- Ensures federal, state, local and corporate policy and regulatory compliance
- Ensures coordination between IESS team and agency IT group regarding system needs and requirements and it specs, capabilities and standards.
What You’ll Bring:
- Seven or more years of experience in network engineering with a focus on security system networks and cybersecurity
- The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, ten or more years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- The individual holding this position shall possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and may be required to obtain an agency sponsored SCI clearance.
- Required Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Splunk Core Certified User, CompTIA Security+.
