Position Overview

Creek Technologies is seeking a Communications Data Analyst to support mission-focused programs by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives.

In this role, you will provide actionable insights that improve outreach, engagement, and communication campaign performance. You will work closely with the Strategic Communications team to develop performance metrics, analyze audience engagement, and translate complex data into clear, strategic insights that support informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate is skilled in data analytics, reporting, and data visualization, with the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain metrics dashboards to track the performance of communications initiatives across platforms, including digital media, social media, email campaigns, websites, and events.
  • Develop and maintain a stakeholder engagement database or CRM system that tracks interactions across communications platforms.
  • Analyze campaign data to evaluate communication effectiveness, audience engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Communications team to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns and communication initiatives.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to recommend improvements to communication strategies.
  • Conduct audience research, including surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder feedback analysis.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that present insights clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable narratives that guide strategic communications decisions.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in data analytics, communication technologies, and audience analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with applicable policies and security requirements.
  • Support ongoing evaluation and improvement of communications strategies using data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably supporting communications, marketing, or public relations initiatives.
  • Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media metrics, SEO performance indicators, and audience analysis techniques.
  • Experience developing data dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical data into clear insights and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with survey design, audience research, and data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Communications, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
