Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 7 years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 3 years with a relevant Master's or PhD
• Prior Systems Engineering experience including system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation
• Experience with MBSE, Cameo/MSOSA, and/or SysML
• Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems using MBSE (SysML/MSOSA)
• Leadership experience in system architecture or lead systems engineering roles; ability to communicate architectural tradeoffs to stakeholders and customers
• Understanding of various engineering analyses including affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors
• Familiarity with aircraft/flight systems and domain-specific engineering (ME, EE, SW) to evaluate integration impacts

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support or lead system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE (SysML/Cameo) to define interfaces, functions, and allocation across multiple domains
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop systems meeting program commitments, including support of design reviews
• Implement MBSE as part of a broad digital engineering ecosystem
• Engage in Systems Engineering efforts such as requirements decomposition, system architecture, system analysis, specification development, trade studies, program planning, interfaces management, risk management, certification planning & execution, verification & test planning, and overall integration
