DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:
All Points is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist 3 to support the Cloud Services Office. T his is a position supporting a Huntsville-based program, and remote work MAY be supported at management discretion. All work must be performed within the Continental United States.
The CM Specialist is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing configuration management processes across enterprise cloud environments. This role ensures cloud resources are consistently configured, securely managed, and traceable throughout their lifecycle, supporting compliance, operational stability, and controlled change across the Cloud Services Office.
The CM Specialist will work closely with Cloud Operations, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Change Management teams to maintain configuration baselines, prevent configuration drift, and provide accurate configuration data required for audits, compliance assessments, and governance activities.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of experience supporting configuration management in enterprise IT or cloud environments.

The CM Specialist is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing configuration management processes across enterprise cloud environments. This role ensures cloud resources are consistently configured, securely managed, and traceable throughout their lifecycle, supporting compliance, operational stability, and controlled change across the Cloud Services Office.
The CM Specialist will work closely with Cloud Operations, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Change Management teams to maintain configuration baselines, prevent configuration drift, and provide accurate configuration data required for audits, compliance assessments, and governance activities.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain configuration management policies, standards, and procedures for cloud platforms and services.
- Define and manage configuration baselines for cloud infrastructure, platforms, and shared services.
- Identify, document, and maintain Configuration Items (CIs) across cloud environments.
- Maintain accurate CI relationships and dependencies to support impact analysis and troubleshooting.
- Monitor cloud environments for configuration drift against approved baselines.
- Support Change Management by evaluating the configuration impact of proposed changes.
- Ensure approved changes are accurately reflected in configuration records and baselines.
- Coordinate remediation activities with Operations and Engineering teams to restore compliance.
- Maintain configuration documentation and evidence to support FISMA, internal audits, and external assessments.
- Provide traceability between approved changes, configuration baselines, and deployed cloud resources.
- Identify gaps in configuration controls and recommend tooling or process improvements.
- Support the maturation of cloud configuration management capabilities across the organization.
- Support configuration management tooling, CMDB integrations, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Promote automation and standardization to improve configuration accuracy and repeatability.
- Produce configuration compliance reports, drift metrics, and operational dashboards for leadership and governance forums.
- Track and report configuration-related risks and remediation status.
EDUCATION:

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of experience supporting configuration management in enterprise IT or cloud environments.
SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required Technical Skills:
- Experience supporting configuration management in enterprise IT or cloud environments.
- Knowledge of configuration management principles, baselining, and CI lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud infrastructure concepts.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Strong documentation, analysis, and cross-team coordination skills.
- Experience working in a Cloud Services Office or enterprise cloud operations organization.
- Familiarity with FISMA Moderate or High environments.
- Experience with CMDBs, configuration monitoring tools, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Understanding of Change Management and ITIL-aligned service management processes.

- US Citizenship required
- Public Trust / NACI background investigation required
