Job Summary
North Stone is seeking a Lead Application Engineer to support development and sustainment of the DoW logistics application. The Lead Application Engineer will serve as the primary developer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining application features while guiding development standards and ensuring system performance and reliability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain application components using Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Provide technical leadership and code guidance to the development team.
- Participate in system design discussions and architecture reviews.
- Develop and maintain application integrations and backend services.
- Troubleshoot application issues and implement performance improvements.
- Ensure code quality through peer reviews and adherence to development standards.
- Collaborate with QA, DevSecOps, and system engineers to ensure successful releases.
- Maintain documentation for application architecture and development processes.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Privileged and SIPR access.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong development experience with Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Experience supporting enterprise application development and sustainment.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoW or USAF Cloud One cloud environments.
- Experience with modern web frameworks and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application environments.
- Experience supporting DevSecOps development pipelines.
