We are currently expanding our team and are seeking an Information Assurance Analyst to provide cybersecurity support for a suite of web-based government business applications. In this role you assist the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to develop and maintain the Risk Management Framework (RMF) package, including making entries into the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system and the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) tool to obtain various authorizations in government cloud environments at different impact levels. This is a hybrid position. Most of the time it will be remote, however the candidate must be within commutable distance of Pax River Naval Air Station and be able to attend meetings and access a SCIF facility as needed.
Duties:
• Aid in the full RMF Assessment & Authorization (A&A) lifecycle, including system accreditation, security assessments, and implementation of controls aligned with NIST 800-53, RMF, and FISMA requirements.
• Provide cybersecurity oversight for our information systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and protecting sensitive data across classified and unclassified environments.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), System Level Continuous Monitoring (SLCM) Strategies and other compliance artifacts.
• Conduct risk, vulnerability, and security assessments, maintain a risk registry, and provide mitigation strategies to address identified cybersecurity risks.
• Assist in continuous monitoring efforts, including vulnerability scanning (e.g., HBSS/ACAS), patch management (IAVM), and evaluation of system changes to maintain compliance.
• Support cybersecurity awareness and program improvement by delivering security guidance, conducting research on emerging threats, recommending enhancements to security practices and processes, and maintaining cyber security personnel proficiency and certifications.
Required professional skills include excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
Required Education:
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or related field.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:
• A) An AS or AA degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, business, or information systems and three (3) years of overall experience plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree; or B) Eight (8) years of overall experiences plus the amount of detailed experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
• CompTIA Security +, or similar IAT Level II certification.
Required Experience:
• A Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar role including generating security documentation for requirements, assessment, compliance, Standard Operating Procedures, and test results.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools.
Desired Experience:
• Experience with the Department of Navy (DoN) accreditation process in a government cloud environment and the IL6 level and higher.
• Experience with the DoN Flank Speed Azure Cloud environment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
