System Architect
Location: Remote
Description: Seeking a highly motivated System Architect to support our team. The System Architect will be part of an expanded analytics requirements/solutioning/development team for VA LGY.
Responsibilities:
• Provide AWS and Veterans Administration Enterprise Cloud architecture leadership and guidance to the analytics team.
• Identify gaps or problems in clients' computer systems
• Establish the client's business strategy and technical needs
• Develop IT solutions to meet clients' needs
• Determine the cost implications of various solution options
• Develop plans to show how options will work and communicate plans to the client in an understandable way
• Ensure plans meet industry regulation specifications
• Maintain ongoing relationships with clients
• Provide client feedback in a timely manner to the production department to ensure that product development or modification meets the client's needs.
Required Skill and Experience:
• Experience designing data pipelines for AWS EMR/Spark, Glue and Redshift
• Experience creating end to end automated systems that collects, processes, and stores large volumes of data
• Architecture design and integration experience
• Data modeling performance tuning experience
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience supporting federal government programs or VA systems.
• Familiarity with LGY product line or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Current Public Trust Clearance
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
