Position: Sr. Technical Systems Administrator
Location: Remote, EST/CST

Job Profile Summary
The Technical Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure within the Business Area Network and Internet-based environments. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuous innovation within the infrastructure. The role ensures that systems hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, partners, and customers.
Job Description
• Provide technical support and its business areas within strategic support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.
• Support business application workflows and methods (e.g., ServiceNow or JIRA Help Desk).
• Implement Engineering Tool Administration practices.
• Manage documentation of network server configurations, application licensing agreements, and other third-party software installed.
• Ensure backup system processes and procedures are in place and monitored for Product Development software.
• Document repair/maintenance and change requests through the department ticketing system.
• Serve as escalation point for on-call/after-hours support for Product Development Suite of Tools.
• Work closely with the Application Team and Development Team to drive tactical implementation of the technical roadmap for Product Development tools.
• Build prototype and test systems for demo and testing.
• Understand, plan, and execute technical activities in accordance with policies, procedures, work instructions, and specific customer requirements.
• Originate and/or revise process documents in support of PLM and development activities.
Must-Haves
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study (higher education may substitute for relevant experience; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education).
• 3DExperience On-Premise deployment in a cloud-hosted environment.
• Experience with Linux, Windows or iOS (Linux is preferred)
• Candidate needs strong skills with communication and documentation
• Need to be able to explain the work being done and to properly document
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience developing applications using JavaScript
• Experience with database administration: Oracle or MS SQL (team is currently using Oracle)
• RHEL 8
• 10+ years implementing tools and processes associated with CAD Driven Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) structure development in support of engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment of programs/product lines.
• Experience driving digital transformation and implementation projects over months and years by contributing to vision strategies and translating insights into actionable technical roadmaps.
