As a Senior Accountant at CyberPoint, you will support the company's financial operations by ensuring accurate accounting processes, timely financial reporting, and compliance with government contracting requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining financial records, managing core accounting functions and supporting month-end close activities in a fast-paced government contracting environment.
This role requires strong experience with government contractor accounting practices, including Deltek Costpoint, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and financial reporting processes. You will collaborate with teams across the organization while helping maintain the integrity and accuracy of CyberPoint's financial operations.

What You'll Do
Lead and complete the monthly financial close process, ensuring all deadlines are met
Prepare financial statements and reports to support internal financial management
Develop and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts
Serve as a backup to the Controller, overseeing daily accounting operations during absences
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Manage accounts payable processes, including recording and tracking A/P invoices
Prepare and submit Incurred Cost Submissions in accordance with government requirements
Prepare and record journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records
Process semi-monthly payroll and related benefit payments, including 401(k) contributions
Manage timesheet importing/exporting, reconciliation and posting within the accounting system
Maintain accurate financial documentation in accordance with company policies and government regulations
Reconcile and record monthly corporate credit card transactions
Prepare and post cash management entries
Reconcile and post employee expense reports
Manage the purchase order and credit card authorization process
Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
Lead and support internal and external audits throughout the year
Prepare monthly unbilled revenue analysis and reconciliation
Interface regularly with personnel across the organization to support financial processes
Perform additional accounting and financial tasks as needed
This position is hybrid in Columbia MD
Qualifications
What You’ll Need
US Citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from accredited college or university
10+ years of accounting experience, including experience in a government contracting environment
Minimum 7 years of experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP
Strong knowledge of government contract accounting and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
