Overview

The Strategic Partnerships Lead will drive the process of identifying, shaping, and scaling high-impact partnerships with industry technology providers and academic institutions that directly drive revenue growth, solution differentiation, and market expansion.

This role partners closely with executive leadership to translate market demand signals, client needs, and technology trends into an actionable ecosystem strategy that extends LMI's in-house IP, accelerates day-one-ready solutions, and unlocks measurable commercial outcomes across priority growth areas.

The Head of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for operationalizing the partnership lifecycle-from strategy and prioritization through execution, governance, and scaling-with success measured by partnership-driven revenue contribution, pipeline acceleration, and sustained strategic value.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Partnership Strategy
  • Drive LMI's industry and academic partnership portfolio, including partnership vision, strategic roadmap, prioritization, and execution aligned to firm growth objectives.
  • Define and continuously refine LMI's partnership and ecosystem strategy based on market demand signals, client needs, and evolving technology trends.
  • Build and manage a prioritized portfolio of strategic partners that extend LMI's capabilities and support scalable, differentiated solutions.
  • Lead partner identification, due diligence, and onboarding, ensuring strategic alignment from day one.

Growth, Revenue, and Market Impact
  • Accountable for partnership-driven growth outcomes, including revenue contribution, pipeline acceleration, co-sell performance, and market differentiation.
  • Drive joint strategic initiatives with partners to accelerate solution development, go-to-market motions, and commercialization efforts.
  • Develop business cases, value realization plans, and success metrics for new and existing partnerships.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
  • Collaborate closely with solution leaders, practice and market leaders, engineering teams, product teams, and marketing to align partnerships to actionable opportunities and priorities.
  • Drive integration of LMI Intellectual Property and partner technologies.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between strategy, product, and go-to-market execution to ensure partnerships translate into real client impact.

Executive & External Engagement
  • Serve as executive sponsor and primary senior-level point of accountability for LMI's most strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with partner executive leadership, ensuring mutual value creation and long-term growth.
  • Partner with marketing and thought leadership teams to elevate LMI's brand through strategic alliances, academic collaborations, and innovation programs.

Measures of Success
  • Measurable revenue and pipeline contribution attributable to strategic partnerships
  • Acceleration of solution development and time-to-market through partner leverage
  • Increased differentiation and competitive positioning in priority growth areas
  • Scalable, repeatable partnership operating model with clear governance and accountability


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, technology consulting, partnerships, product, or business development roles.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and market differentiation.
  • Understanding of modern technology platforms and innovation ecosystems (e.g., cloud, AI, data, enterprise platforms).
  • Experience working with industry technology providers and/or academic institutions strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market and client demand into actionable strategies and executable initiatives.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and external partner leadership.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience with joint offerings, co-sell motions, and partnership-driven revenue models.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex value propositions.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguity and build new capabilities from the ground up in a matrixed, enterprise environment.
